Oh How He Loves

Want your mind blown? Watch this:

Speechless?

The first time I saw this I had to just watch it over and over again. So many things about it are mind blowing. First of all, the fact that technology is advanced enough to show us that is just amazing. Once you can physically see the beauty of it all, it’s difficult to accept the idea that this universe was created by chance. What are the chances that an intelligent life form would be formed on a miniscule bit of rock (placed just so so that life could form and be sustained for a small amount of time) in the middle of infinite nothingness, and that life form would become advanced enough to be aware of the existence of it all? That’s CRAZY! If any moment in the formation of the universe had happened differently we would not exist.

Aside from that, it’s almost incomprehensible to imagine how insignificant we are in comparison with the size of the galaxy, much less the entire universe. It puts things in perspective. My bad day is nothing in the scope of the universe (or eternity). If I take science’s argument and believe that this universe was created by chance and there is no Creator God to believe in, that makes life pretty depressing. If we are a small blip on the scale of time, not even visible in the universe, what’s the point of this beautiful world we live in? What’s the point of life? If I follow this way of thinking… there is none.

BUT WAIT!

The GOOD NEWS is that there is a Creator, His name is God, and He loves us, despite what may look like insignificance to us. We are created for a purpose- to glorify him, love one another, spread this good news, and enjoy every minute of it. With Him, there is an eternity. He created all of that infinite wonderfulness (I’m aware this isn’t a word, just go with it) to show how BIG he is, and how GREAT his love for us is, despite how incredibly small and weak we are. The Creator of the universe LOVES YOU. Isn’t that the best thing you’ve ever heard in your life?!

My heart is so full. I just had to get that out there.

P.S. If you want more, read Crazy Love, by Francis Chan.
