amaica is a beautiful country, full of happy people who just love and enjoy life. A few weeks ago I was there in Montego Bay on vacation with my family to celebrate my parents' 25th wedding anniversary. (High school sweethearts and married that long? Yes, it can be done!) This was my parents’ 5th time in the country and my first. I LOVED IT. The resort we stayed at, the Grand Palladium, was gorgeous- I decided that if you add all my loved ones + Jesus, it would be my heaven.
First view of the pool/beach, walking from our lobby.

I spent a majority of my time sitting in these pool chairs reading, while my sister was learning how to dance with the Jamaican men. She just posed for the picture. Haha. The resort is famous for its pool, not so much for the beach.

Swim up bar, what could be better? This is where I note that the legal drinking age in Jamaica is 18, and they do serve virgins. The drinks and the girls. I got jokes.

A little view of the beach.

The whole family.

Gotta have a “looking out at the ocean" shot. My mother loves to play photographer and I love to play model.

On Tuesday we zip-lined through the jungle. Had fun, made friends, and conquered fears (I’m deathly afraid of heights and “that falling feeling.”)

The lovers. <3

The last sunset. So sad to leave!
I can’t wait to go back. Although I am definitely so thankful to get to spend my vacation at such a nice resort, next time I would like to explore the outside culture of Jamaica a little more. The only time I got to see the everyday Jamaican people (the ones that didn’t work at our resort) were during the rides to and from the airport and our zip-line excursion. One day I’d just like to go take a camera and a car and ride & walk through the mountains and villages around (the safe areas!) of Jamaica, learning about the people and their culture.
